I LOVE this place and the staff! Gives tough love with RESULTS, says what needs to be said (no sugar coating) professional, accommodating, and worth every penny. If you have decided to change you way of life, this is the place. If your playing or still deciding you may want to keep moving until your serious about getting FIT.
I recommend anybody who is serious about working out to join this gym. The staff is amazing and motivating. Thank you AFC for allowing me to work out at your facility and hopefully one day I'll be able to come back.
I caught American Fitness charging my credit card after I cancelled my membership. Also had other fraudulent charges to my card after I quit their gym.

Thank you for demonstrating your complete lack of honor and integrity. You know that I walked into the gym that morning to hand in my keycard and cancel my membership as I had moved from the area.
I literally walked in the gym, asked for the associate, handed over my keycard, and explained that I needed to terminate my membership as I had moved. Why do you feel the need to lie about that?
You charged me for another month and a late fee despite the fact that I had moved and wasn’t using the gym. I agreed to pay and promptly handed my card to the worker.
The issue arose when the young man refused to provide me an invoice. He asked me to sign his iPad without first providing an invoice or confirmation of charges and I refused. I simply asked that he send me an invoice or confirmation and he wouldn’t do it.
I’m not going to sign something without some type of confirmation of what I’m signing. NO reputable company would ask you to blindly sign for a debit/credit transaction without a sales receipt or invoice.
After he refused to send an invoice, I then offered to pay in cash but the young man refused to accept a cash payment. After he refused to send me an invoice or take cash, I then told him that he could sign for the transaction but that I wouldn’t do it without confirmation of what I was signing.
So, not only are you lying about my membership cancellation, but you are also lying regarding me threatening your staff. That is a despicable bald-face lie! Neither of us so much as raised our voices or threatened each other.
Furthermore, I agree that your policy regarding profile pictures is reasonable. I was asked several months ago to take a profile picture by your staff member and I calmly explained that I didn’t want to submit my biometric data due to security concerns. After your staff member insisted that the profile picture was necessary, I said that I understood and that I would leave the gym. After explaining that I would leave, your staff member offered to compromise by using my photo id as my profile picture. I agreed and that was the end of that.
There was no arguing, anger, or raised voices in this exchange. I wasn’t upset in the slightest and neither was the staff member. Why would you allow me to continue a membership for months if I was uncivil or threatening your staff member? It doesn’t even make sense.
Also, there were no threats made the day I cancelled my membership. Neither of us so much as raided our voices towards each other. I calmy stated that I would leave a poor review for poor service. That is not a threat. I actually wasn’t even going to leave a review until I saw that you falsely accused me of breaking rules and are continuing to charge my account a month after I left your gym.
